What is End-of-Life Care?

End-of-Life Care focuses on providing comfort, dignity, and peace for pets in their final days or weeks. This includes:

  • Pain and symptom management
  • Emotional support for owners
  • Guidance on when to consider euthanasia

Palliative Care Services

If your pet has a terminal illness or declining quality of life, our palliative care helps manage:

  • Chronic pain
  • Appetite and hydration
  • Mobility support

Euthanasia In-Clinic or In-Home

When the time comes to say goodbye, you have the choice of a serene in-clinic setting (*coming early 2026*) or the comfort of your own home. Both options are designed to minimize stress and honour your pet’s dignity.

In-Home Euthanasia

A veterinarian and assistant arrive quietly with all supplies, ensuring a private farewell in familiar surroundings—free from the noise, smells, and bright lights of a clinic. We begin with a compassionate discussion, answer your questions, and can offer a mild sedative if needed. Once your pet is relaxed, the final injection is administered gently and painlessly. You control the pace: hold your companion, share memories, or sit together until you’re ready for privacy.

In-Clinic Euthanasia

*coming early 2026* Our peaceful, softly lit exam room offers a calm alternative for families who prefer the clinic environment. We schedule dedicated time to avoid wait times and interruptions. The process mirrors our in-home approach: a pre-euthanasia discussion, optional sedation, and a gentle final injection. You’re welcome to remain with your pet throughout, and our team will step back when you need space.

Aftercare & Memorialization

Aftercare encompasses the respectful handling of your pet’s remains and the memorial options available. We partner with accredited providers to guide you through:

Lady grabbing her old dog and sharing love

Individual Cremation

Your pet is cremated alone, and ashes are returned in an urn or scattering tube of your choice.

Communal Cremation

Pets are cremated together; ashes are not returned, but keepsakes such as paw-print moulds or fur clippings are available.

Aquamation

An eco-friendly, water-based alternative with no emissions.

Home Burial Guidance

If permitted locally, we provide bylaws and best practices for a dignified pet burial on your property.

Memorial keepsakes—engraved urns, personalized plaques, and paw-print impressions—are offered to help you celebrate your pet’s life. Throughout aftercare and memorialization, we handle every detail with utmost compassion and respect, allowing you to focus on healing and remembrance.
